Kelly Shaffer is now a Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR). The designation of CISR is gained by showing a comprehensive understanding of insurance risks and exposures by the successfully completing five courses and examinations. CISRs have to commit to annual continuing education —to update their designation and their knowledge, in order to serve their clients, agencies, and companies at the highest level.
Teeter Group now has two members, Linda and Kelly, in the Society of Certified Insurance Service Representatives.

In June, Jamie Harclerode passed her Property and Casualty License test. She joins our team as a Commercial Insurance Agent.
A lot has been happening at Teeter since the fall of 2006. Teeter Insurance Agency, Inc. is now doing business as the Teeter Group.
Teeter Group moved to a new building the 1st of the year. We are now just right up the street from our old office at 3375 Lynnwood Drive, Altoona, PA 16602. Stop by and see our office sometime!
Directions: Follow Logan Boulevard past Mansion Park. At the light, go straight past Fat Daddy's BBQ on the right, make the first right onto Lynnwood Drive. We sit on the hill on the right hand side, behind Seltzer Financial Strategies.

Mindy Yarnell joined the staff in September 2006 and is working as a Commercial Lines CSR. She obtained her Property and Casualty License in November 2006 and plans to take classes to receive her CISR designation.
Mindy has 14 years of experience working as an Administrative/HR Assistant in the manufacturing industry. She has also performed duties as a Tech Recruiter for a small government contractor.
Joseph (Joe) Keith joined us in March 2007 as a Commercial Account Manager. Joe has nearly 15 years experience helping clients with their insurance needs. With the Teeter Group, he will focus on business accounts, specifically helping companies get their workers' compensation and other insurance costs under control. Joe can also help clients with life and disability insurance.
Joe is a lifelong resident of Blair County and currently resides just south of Roaring Spring, PA with his wife and two daughters. He has served as president of the Altoona Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), the Associate vice-president for the Blair County Builders Association, as well as numerous other organizations' boards.
Brent Noel joined Teeter Group in April 2007. Brent is serving as the CompControl Coordinator. He is implementing our Workers' Compensation Keystone CompControl Program. The program saves our clients money on their premiums by analyzing payroll audits, verifying experience mods, managing claims, and helping companies develop their corporate culture.
Brent graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Marketing. Before Teeter, he was a project supervisor for a large retailer. Brent earned his Certified WorkComp Advisor status at the Institute of WorkComp Professionals in May.
Jamie Harclerode, our most recent addition, joined the Teeter Group in May 2007. She joins our team as a Commercial Insurance Agent. After Jamie completes her state licensing in June, she will focus on sales and service of Commercial Property and Casualty Insurance.
Jamie graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh in December 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She is a resident of Bedford, PA.

In May, Joe and Brent attended the Institute of WorkComp Professionals in Philadelphia, PA. They are now Certified WorkComp Advisors. The Institute trains and certifies professional insurance agents to help companies identify and fight overcharges caused by mistakes rampant in the complex and confusing Workers' Compensation system. Our agency now has four Certified Advisors.
